Mississauga, ON (30 June, 2023) ---
The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, found no reasonable grounds to believe a Windsor Police Service officer committed a criminal offence in connection with the broken arm suffered by a 28-year-old woman. On March 1, 2023, officers were called to a residence in the area of Little River Road and Lauzon Road as the homeowner wanted the woman removed for doing drugs in the basement. The woman left the home and returned the following morning. Officers were again called and they arrested her for trespassing. While handcuffing her, the woman pulled her right arm forward and as the officer tried to control her right arm, he pulled it behind and her arm was fractured.
